Staying Safe at Your house

I have been speaking about home security with a lot of homeowners. I am trying to get some insight on different ways that our homes can become at risk. I asked each person I spoke with if they had ever experienced any suspicious actions at their house. A robbery, broken windows, a suspicious person – whatever. Almost every single person had a story for me. Many of the stories eventually led them to install a alarm system. I have learned that www.kansashomesecurity.net is a great choice.

One gentleman said that he had been home for the afternoon one day, but left to go pick his little boy up from hockey practice. When he and his son returned home approximately 10 minutes later, one of his windows was shattered and a few things were missing from inside. He suspected that he was being watched, and the robber knew once he left the house. A different mother of three informed me that she once opened the door for someone who claimed to be a salesman. After the man finished speaking, he then asked if he could come inside to talk it over with her. She said no thank you, and he again replied by asking if he could still come inside and use her phone. Since he was being so persistent, she declined again and closed the door.

We have all had our encounters with suspicious situations and people. Some are worse than others, like the first man’s experience. The information I am trying to figure out helps me determine what motivates people to install a burglar alarm. The second woman said she quickly chose to get one the next day.

I have learned about a ton of similar stories from other people. You never truly know what can happen on a given day. I am convinced these people did not wake up that morning and think something unusual would happen that day. It definitely emphasizes the value in always being prepared.
